Kyle Allen
Founder, Allen Seed & Service LLC | Co-Founder, Gateway Precision Ag LLC
Kyle Allen grew up on a family farm in East Central Missouri and graduated from Troy Buchanan High School in 2005. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009.
After graduation, Kyle began his career in central Missouri as a District Sales Manager with Crows Hybrids-Channel Seed. Two years later, he returned to his hometown of Troy, Missouri, accepting a role as an Agricultural Education teacher with Troy FFA. While teaching, Kyle began selling seed part-time to local farmers, steadily growing his business.
In the spring of 2013, after four years of teaching, Kyle transitioned to full-time seed sales, founding Allen Seed & Service LLC. He established a state-of-the-art seed facility in Hawk Point, Missouri, featuring an industry-leading seed-treating system to provide on-demand seed treating for farmers. In the winter of 2019, Kyle partnered with Shane to co-found Gateway Precision Ag LLC, bringing cutting-edge precision agriculture technologies to farmers throughout the region.
Kyle and his wife Katie reside in Troy, Missouri, with their two daughters, Claire and Chloe. As a family, they enjoy attending Mizzou Tigers football games in the fall and spending quality time with loved ones. A dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan, Kyle also loves spending time outdoors.
Shane Myers
Co-Founder, Gateway Precision Ag LLC
Shane Myers grew up just outside Troy, Missouri, on his family’s third-generation farm, where they raised corn, soybeans, wheat, and market hogs. He graduated from Troy Buchanan High School in 2008 and went on to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning a degree in Agricultural Systems Management with a minor in Agricultural Economics.
After graduation, Shane began his career at Monsanto, working in soybean breeding for two years. In 2014, he accepted a role at Service Supply COOP in Bellflower, Missouri, as a Precision Ag Specialist. Over the next five years, Shane collaborated with growers to provide precision agriculture solutions, including equipment upgrades, data management, crop scouting, soil sampling, and fertility management.
In the spring of 2019, Shane partnered with Kyle Allen to launch Gateway Precision Ag LLC, expanding services to support more growers throughout East Central Missouri.
Shane and his wife Rachel reside in Moscow Mills, Missouri, with their daughters, Hensley and Cora, just minutes from their family farm. He enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, visiting the family farm, and cheering on the Mizzou Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs.
